How far

Who taught us that the colour of our skins makes us inequal and that the other party should be superior than the other.  Ever since I have started working I have come to realise that a white man would rather opt for someone of a mixed race than a black person.

South Africa does not belong to anyone, Africa does not belong to anyone as much as the world does not belong to anyone. We are all living in this world to not wake up someday to be with our loved ones.

How far is the black majority from equality, how far are we from a protest free nation, are we even going to get there, were we born to always scream over our heads to be heard, were we chosen to be that part that need to fight before we get what is rightfully ours, that remains a mystery.

We die in silence at work fearing to loose our jobs, while my white or indian colleague that can afford to go on a holiday but we working the same job just earning different salaries. It does not matter how well I do my job but it will still not be recognised, only my flaws and minor errors. The so called private schools that accepts our money with smiles but treat our kids unfairly. Even at tertiary levels our fellow white, indian and coloured students are higher performers than the black majority.

It does not matter if the parliament is filled with black leaders, bottom line is we are still answering to other races.  The good that blacks do goes unnoticed, we are associated with darkness, violence, bad behaviour. We have to sweat for glory while other races barely lift a finger but they will be known for moving mountains.

There is nothing free about the life that blacks are living now, it is just a cover up, something I would call a Private Apartheid.
